Lavender and Bees Giveaway.

Ok, here I am on yet another grey, threatening to rain later on kind of day; what can I do to stop myself slipping into the doldrums? How about sorting that giveaway I promised before I disappeared to wonderful, beautiful, hot (yes, HOT) sunny Italy -can you tell I'm missing it? Sighs deeply...

Hey ho' the giveaway - I have decided to make the giveaway gift one of my Lavender & bees Notebooks

I thought this might be something to brighten the day of a fellow blogger. It is a pretty (though I say so myself) covered A6 notebook decorated with a mix of hand embroidery, freehand machine embroidery and a little applique for good measure.

All of course made with my own nimble hands. The winner will be able to choose whether to have the words 'Lavender and Bees' hand embroidered across the top as in the images here, or to have a name in place of it so that it reads 'Pipany's Book' for example. Obviously, you will want a name of your choice not mine, though should you so choose I will be both humbled and flattered!

All you have to do is leave me a lovely comment stating who you you would give the notebook to (yourself maybe?) or what you would use it for - making lists, sketching or do you have some other use in mind? I'm just inherently nosy you see.

Ahh, Bologna...how my heart weeps for your azure blue skies and heart-warming sun.

Ahem, the closing date for the giveaway will be Wednesday 9am and I will choose the winner by the random generator (so please don't feel what your comment says influences anything - I just love getting comments that's all!). As ever, it's open to everyone, lurker or regular commentor, crafter or non-crafter, first time visitor, here or abroad. The more the merrier.

Now, I really must get on with sorting these sets of cards as I said I would do er, how long ago?!! No beach today - no excuse Pip. Get thee to it.

Have a lovely day and don't forget to leave a comment for the giveaway. x

  1. Now how could anyone resist such a pretty giveaway? And I think I'd be very selfish and keep it all for myself and my own little notes and jottings!

  2. What lovely notebook covers! Like Gina I am torn between saying I should use it myself (I'm constantly filling notebooks with writing ideas and observations) or passing it on the Elder Daughter, who is now working for the charity OpenStory Tellers, for her to keep track of all her charges. I envy you Bologna!

  3. This sweet notebook would be for my 13-year-old daughter, Kiera, who writes, scribbles, doodles, over everything including her bedroom walls.

  4. Beautiful notebook Pipany - I'd love it for myself but husband needs a little gift to take to Greece as a thank you for the girl in the bakery who found and returned his wallet to him last year. It's a long story....

Bologna looks fantastic. Must put it on the list.

  6. Not a comment for the giveaway since I had one of your creations back along and am enjoying that. Just to say how lovely the book is and how you must be missing Bologna since it looks so lovely. Hope the doldrums soon passes.

  8. Its a lovely giveaway, Pip. I would give it to my oldest friend who is retraining as a gardener. She would have to wash her hands before she used it though! I might not be able to part with it if I won it and would have to buy another one for her. Sorry your Cornish weather is not behaving as it should for August - lets hope you have an Indian summer. 11. Such a pretty book - I've seen them on your site. I think I'd give this to my niece, Isabel, who is 8 years old. She likes to write her thoughts - a lot like my Lilypad did when she was a girl.

  12. I am most definitely a Lavander and bees person. I would treasure it for my trip to Australia in October to visit our daughter Palomina, her adorable husband who spoils me rotten, and Scalliwag, Rascal and dear little Poppet who is now walking. I would use it as a journal to log every minute of the trip. Think of the joy you will have Pipany recalling your wonderful trip to Italy, over the dull Winter months.

  17. Just been catching up. I am a notebook junkie but this book of yours is sooooo beautiful I don't think I would dare write in it or let anyone else...... it would have to be kept for something VERY special, perhaps poems or quotations.... perhaps I would gift it to someone, or have a draw between the grand-daughters.

  20. I'd love to be entered for your giveaway Pip. However, I have to tell you that I would be totally selfish and keep the book all to myself because I think I deserve something beautiful. I'm not sure yet what I would write in it. Shopping lists seem a little mundane but I'm sure it would fit very nicely into the CK bag I've got my eye on.
